It’s the final post of the day, I promise!!

Today I attempted the “Photo Safari” challenge and I think I did a lot better than expected.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge to be honest. My friend had just moved into her new apartment and she has a lot of goodies around to take pictures of along with her own self. I shot all photos with a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with the Standard Kit Lens.

Overall; I feel like I waited too far into the day to get the unusual shadow photo and I couldn’t find anything to attempt to make look alive, so I am disappointed about that. I think the best photos is the “two things that don’t go together” photo of the Chic-Fil-A waffle fries and Pink Moscato…don’t judge how we celebrate moving in. I also love the “unsual angel” photo. For that, I laid on her bed upside down at a diagonal and it came out really nice. In terms of inventiveness, I’m not too sure what would work. Maybe the “unusual shadow” or “repeated pattern” photos? Regardless, I am still pleased and surprised at how a lot of the photos came out and how fun the challenge was.

Anyways, I would love to hear what you all think and what difficulties or awesome shots you experienced!!

  1. Wow, great set of photos! I especially love the one with the blurred motion effect–that was one I had a lot of trouble with and ended up not being able to get anything good of, but in your photo, you really can feel the movement. I also love your unusual angle photo. It makes you want to stop and tilt your head around to see what the “correct” angle would be, haha. The soft lighting in that one is lovely to look at too.

I feel like I had the opposite problem that you did, in that I went to the beach right in the middle of the day so it was TOO bright. We’ll have to keep ready for that perfect time in between!

    1. Thank you so much!!! Σ(゜ロ゜;) Yeah, if I remember correctly from when I got my engagement photos done…our photographers said that it’s best to wait until mid to late evening or just wake up early enough for sun rise to get the best lighting. But honestly, the blurred photo was stupid difficult trying to capture. My camera was focusing too well and it took 5-6 tries just to get it. (╬ಠ益ಠ)

  2. These pictures are amazing! You did a great job ! I love the photo of your repeated pattern, is that a table, or back splash possibly?

    1. Thank you!!! The repeated pattern is actually a mirror; it was the only repetitive background I could find that was unboxed. (◞ ๑⑈௰⑈)
